Notion announced a rebuilt AI harness with 24-hour tasks, its own browser, and a new credit-based pricing system, while expanding collaborative AI workflows.
Notion announced major AI harness and pricing changes, including a rebuilt harness that can run tasks for up to 24 hours and an auto router that chunks work across models and upgrades failing tasks. Notion AI is also gaining its own browser for web-based tasks such as filling forms, ordering online, and crawling sites without APIs or MCP. The new credit system is live for new customers, with existing Business and Enterprise customers transitioning by November 2, while Free and Plus plans remain unchanged. Business and Enterprise seats receive 1,500 standard credits and 500 select credits per user, with standard credits powering auto-mode personal AI and select credits supporting custom agents and explicit model choices. Custom agents draw from their creator's select credits unless workspace admins allocate workspace credits, and running out of select credits pauses those agents while personal AI falls back to auto mode. Starting November 1, AI meeting notes will draw from standard credits, while auto fill inside custom agents uses select credits. Notion is also expanding AI workflows by connecting to ChatGPT subscriptions and positioning itself as a shared collaborative surface for humans and AI.
